Programme Advisory Committee
A Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) for the National Centre for Science Information (NCSI), as noted below, helps in formulating strategies, policies and guidelines for the activities of NCSI. The committee advises NCSI on broad directions of work in the area of Information Sciences, services to the institute and the country. It also monitors specific programmes like the digitization and maintenance of eprints, conducting research on publications and citations etc. as and when needed. The committee also reviews manpower requirements from time to time and the cooperation between NCSI, library and other departments of the Institute.
